commentsThis is confusing. Fiber modems have their built in routers. How do you expect people to disconnect the router? (m)
ReplyIf you don't understand the idea or what you gonna do based on my instruction, its really confusing. The idea here is, you do the configuration while the fiber wire of your PLDT Router is disconnected, not the router itself be disconnected, the fiber wire only. Gets?
Reply(o) works for me THANKS!
ReplyGood :-)
ReplyIs this a temporary solution? like once you plug in back the fiber cable, you cannot access the GUI again.

hi I tried to follow your instructions but when i unplug the fiber cable to my router the internet connection gets lost and the blinking goes red. so how come the step #3 will work if intrnet connection gets lost if the fiber cable will unplug to the router?
ReplyIt doesn't work on our router. Why?
ReplyThank you sir! It worked <3
Replyonly when the fibr cable unplugged.
May I know what is the main reason why this error is happening to us, PLDTHOMEFIBR users? Can anyone explain it to me? It's getting too complicated. This temporary fix work, but now when I put back the fibr cable, it doesn't. Thanks in advance!

Replygumana sya kanina... pero ngayon ayaw na as in... di ko na maaccess yung whole IP with or without the fibr cable...
Replyi cant connect! :(
ReplyHi, TechProbSolutions. This method does not work on our router. I tried following it but I still can't access the GUI and only says, 'http://192.168.1.1/ is unreachable.' May I know what seems to be the problem? In hindsight, I think PLDT also prevented us from doing this after I saw the recent comments about this method. :) Thank you for your response!
ReplyP. S. I think I disconnected the right one, which indicates 'PON' under the cable (router is off) and there is that 'blinking red' when I turned it on.
It finally worked! I just needed to wait for a few minutes before and after the disconnection of the cable. It just needed a lot of patience to work this off. Thank you so much!!
This is a temporary solution lang po. So ang dapat niyo pong gawin is to Apply all the settings you want bago niyo po ikabit ulit yung fibr cable, kasi hindi niyo na po ulit maaacess yung settings pag nakakabit yung Fibr.
ReplyHello sir good evening.
ReplyOnce I remove the fibre optic cable, it would work. But when I plug the fibre optic again the login page cannot be accessed again. What do I need to change in the configuration so this won't happen? I use another router as a repeater on the lower floor.
ReplyAng balita ko may firmware upgrade daw pero I haven't asked any oftheir reps for this. Ganito lang din gnawa ko. Nakakainis kasindami hackers na nagamit nung app
ReplyW/c is gagana pa rin po yung network connection (w/in server pc and pc (laptops)) nyo not the internet connection from internet provider.
ReplyNice work Sir.
SO for now, ganyan po talaga ang solusyon.
ReplyPLDT Techs are locking the GUI now. Yes, they can do that now, and they can unlock it too.
ReplyPLDT Techs are now locking the GUI so the user can't access it. They can, however, access the GUI remotely, as well as unlock the GUI for you, only when techs are there with you.
ReplyIf you call PLDT for assistance all they know is to tell you they are undergoing maintenance. For all your problems. The answer is, "maintenance" I think most of their so called technical support doesn't really know whats going on and just read their spills.
ReplyI still cannot access the GUI,I followed the instructions but the errors are:
ReplyThe site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
For other questions po you can contact me to my facebook page.
ReplyThis is a working method.
ReplyGaling!!!!! The only solution that worked.
ReplyThanks :D Worked !!
ReplyIt says no internet connection when I type 192.168.1.1 hehe
Reply192.168.1.1 doesn't work on my phone. What should I do? Help me please. I already tried reseting my router but it still doesn't worknon my phone.
ReplyPatulong naman po. Naka-default na lang po ngayon wifi namin.
ReplyJust follow the instructions provided po.
ReplySolution
1. Turn off your router
2. Unplug / Disconnect fiber cable from the router
3. TURN YOUR ROUTER BACK ON ( without the fiber cable attached ) and access the router GUI by going to your browser and type to the address bar the default I.P address of your router which is 192.168.1.1 then log in.
4. Apply all settings you want to do then when you're finished.
5. Turn off your router
6. Reconnect the fiber cable to the router.
7. Turn on the Router
Remember:
Kelangan buksan o i-POWER ON uli ang router para ma-access nyo yung GUI. Basta po naka on ang router, may WiFi signal po yan na pwede mag connect ang tablet, phone, laptop etc. nyo (and nawawala po is mag surf sa net dahil hindi naka connect ang fibr).
Good luck!
This is sooooo damn working fine on me! My problem that's been going on for months now have been perfectly solved by this, a great kudos for this wise man here.
ReplyBy the way, I saw a comment here that his "LOS" led is blinking in Red? dude, when attempting to reconnect or re-plugging in a Fiber line to its router, press it forward gently. As pressing it harder doesn't locks itself on its female port properly. That's normal and I have encountered that as well, a few minutes ago, I just didn't panic at all. :)
This guide works perfectly fine on me, I was able to change my password and other security settings that I needed to beefed up. Tested my fiber connection speed in Speedtest and still getting the same DL/UL speed of 94.81 DL Speed and 99.65 UL Speed though my ping went up to 2ms (as it is usually 1, probably because my Speedtest server is in PLDT Manila and not in PLDT Makati) other than that all is perfectly working damn fine!
THANK YOU SO MUCH TechProSolutions!!
Great! You're Welcome :-)
ReplyAre there any possible reasons why PLDT blocked GUI from accessing? Although, this method works as for the router because the router is the main gateway of connections. But bear in mind that PLDT can change and modify the configurations of your router, and they can block the router from accessing any gateway until the GUI of your router is fully blocked.
ReplyPLDT always monitors the actions of your Internet and the router, too. This method is helpful in some cases, but it's not a good thing to create a loop around the authorized method.
works the first time. Now it won't work anymore please helpT-T
ReplyDude! Thanks a lot for this! At least there's a way of changing the wifi password without calling sa CS of pldt which is a hassle. Good job!
:praise:

ReplyCOUNTING PA TAPOS DI NA MAG MAG EFFECT ANG BAGO KO KUNG PASSWORD KHIT I SAVE KO PA PA HELP PO
ReplyAnong PLDT po gamit niyo?
ReplyAccording to the comments above, PLDT is blocking the GUI. Kaya need tanggalin ung fibr cable I think para ma bypass mo ung blocking. Syempre pag kabit mo ulit nung fibr cable mabblock ulit.
Replysir, magandang gabi, im trying to do and follow ur instructions pero hndi ako mkapasok... admin 1234 at adminpldt 1234567890 na ginamit ko...

ReplyPossible po ba sa cp or tab magpalit...sira kasi laptop ko so di ko mapalitan ang password...any alternatives...
ReplyYes pwedeng pwede po.
Replyit works, but port forwarding even configured still not working
Replywell definitely it will turn red because you dont have internet to begin with, However, accessing the router GUI doesn't require internet. Just make sure the WLAN or wifi is switched on on the router to allow your device to communicate with your router
Replywirelessly.
if you perform a hard reset on a router it will revert everything back to its default settings. that includes your router password and wifi password. Though, I'm not familiar where exactly you can find the login details but as far as I know, it's written somewhere on the router. if not, then look for your start up kit or package. Yes, you will lost connection but only for a couple of minutes because your router needs to complete the reset process. broadband or adsl light should be steady green. internet and wireless or wifi should be blinking (depending on how you are connected).
ReplyVery Helpful! Thank you!
Replyis it working on mobile device? coz i dont have laptop or desktop to use
ReplyYes po.
