Fix: Can't Access 192.168.1.1 in PLDT Home Fibr

When you try to access your PLDT Home Fibr Router admin page from going to your browser and typing to the address bar the default router I.P address which is 192.168.1.1, and there is an error which show that you can't access the page.

Solution
1. Turn off your router
2. Unplug / Disconnect fiber cable from the router
3. TURN IT BACK ON ( without the fiber cable attached ) and access the router GUI by going to your browser and type to the address bar the default I.P address of your router which is 192.168.1.1 then log in.
4. Apply all settings you want to do then when you're finished.
5. Turn off your router
6. Reconnect the fiber cable to the router.
7. Turn on the Router

This is confusing. Fiber modems have their built in routers. How do you expect people to disconnect the router? (m)

If you don't understand the idea or what you gonna do based on my instruction, its really confusing. The idea here is, you do the configuration while the fiber wire of your PLDT Router is disconnected, not the router itself be disconnected, the fiber wire only. Gets?

Is this a temporary solution? like once you plug in back the fiber cable, you cannot access the GUI again.

Read it again. Of course you cannot access it if the router is turned off. Please read it again.

1. Turn off your router
2. Unplug / Disconnect fiber cable from the router
3. TURN IF BACK ON and access the router GUI by going to your browser and type to the address bar the default I.P address of your router which is 192.168.1.1 then log in.
4. Apply all settings you want to do then when you're finished, Reconnect the fiber cable to the router.

You see the turn if back on????? at number 3.

Hi, TechProbSolutions. This method does not work on our router. I tried following it but I still can't access the GUI and only says, 'http://192.168.1.1/ is unreachable.' May I know what seems to be the problem? In hindsight, I think PLDT also prevented us from doing this after I saw the recent comments about this method. :) Thank you for your response!

P. S. I think I disconnected the right one, which indicates 'PON' under the cable (router is off) and there is that 'blinking red' when I turned it on.

Ganon po talaga. This is a temporary solution lang po. So ang dapat niyo pong gawin is to Apply all the settings you want bago niyo po ikabit ulit yung fibr cable, kasi hindi niyo na po ulit maaacess yung settings pag nakakabit yung Fibr. Nasa PLDT po ang problema kaya naeexperience niyo po ito.

PLDT Techs are locking the GUI now. Yes, they can do that now, and they can unlock it too.

PLDT Techs are now locking the GUI so the user can't access it. They can, however, access the GUI remotely, as well as unlock the GUI for you, only when techs are there with you.

If you call PLDT for assistance all they know is to tell you they are undergoing maintenance. For all your problems. The answer is, "maintenance" I think most of their so called technical support doesn't really know whats going on and just read their spills.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Just follow the instructions provided po.

Solution
1. Turn off your router
2. Unplug / Disconnect fiber cable from the router
3. TURN YOUR ROUTER BACK ON ( without the fiber cable attached ) and access the router GUI by going to your browser and type to the address bar the default I.P address of your router which is 192.168.1.1 then log in.
4. Apply all settings you want to do then when you're finished.
5. Turn off your router
6. Reconnect the fiber cable to the router.
7. Turn on the Router

Remember:
Kelangan buksan o i-POWER ON uli ang router para ma-access nyo yung GUI. Basta po naka on ang router, may WiFi signal po yan na pwede mag connect ang tablet, phone, laptop etc. nyo (and nawawala po is mag surf sa net dahil hindi naka connect ang fibr).

Good luck!

This is sooooo damn working fine on me! My problem that's been going on for months now have been perfectly solved by this, a great kudos for this wise man here.

By the way, I saw a comment here that his "LOS" led is blinking in Red? dude, when attempting to reconnect or re-plugging in a Fiber line to its router, press it forward gently. As pressing it harder doesn't locks itself on its female port properly. That's normal and I have encountered that as well, a few minutes ago, I just didn't panic at all. :)

This guide works perfectly fine on me, I was able to change my password and other security settings that I needed to beefed up. Tested my fiber connection speed in Speedtest and still getting the same DL/UL speed of 94.81 DL Speed and 99.65 UL Speed though my ping went up to 2ms (as it is usually 1, probably because my Speedtest server is in PLDT Manila and not in PLDT Makati) other than that all is perfectly working damn fine!

THANK YOU SO MUCH TechProSolutions!!

Are there any possible reasons why PLDT blocked GUI from accessing? Although, this method works as for the router because the router is the main gateway of connections. But bear in mind that PLDT can change and modify the configurations of your router, and they can block the router from accessing any gateway until the GUI of your router is fully blocked.

PLDT always monitors the actions of your Internet and the router, too. This method is helpful in some cases, but it's not a good thing to create a loop around the authorized method.

wirelessly.

if you perform a hard reset on a router it will revert everything back to its default settings. that includes your router password and wifi password. Though, I'm not familiar where exactly you can find the login details but as far as I know, it's written somewhere on the router. if not, then look for your start up kit or package. Yes, you will lost connection but only for a couple of minutes because your router needs to complete the reset process. broadband or adsl light should be steady green. internet and wireless or wifi should be blinking (depending on how you are connected).

Hello, I was tryin' to change password but I couldn't access nor log in to adminpldt account. Does it mean to say I'm already hacked? How to fix it? :( Thank you.

I have tried to follow the instructions above to plug off only the fiber cable but there is no internet access and the IP still does not work. I reconnect the cable again but still won't do.

I followed the instructions kaso nung tinanggal ko ang cable ng fiber, nawala ang connection. I've waited for 20 minutes and keep refreshing the tab with the IP address 192.168.1.1 pero wala pa ring nangyayari. I still can't access the admin page. I'm using a desktop. Please help.

Sir, after I log in to the user router to chage the password, it says the pw is illegal. What's weong with that. And I coudn't access the root router still. it keeps on saying it's error when ever I tried to log in so that I can change the settings.
