How to Change PLDT Home DSL Router WiFi Password 2017

Your PLDT Wi-Fi router comes with a default network name and password, and both are often printed on the router itself. But you can change the name and password to anything you want because leaving your router using default wifi password is making your connection at risk for internet minded neighbors that wants to hack your wifi password.

Instruction 

 1. Plug your PLDT Home DSL router in your PC/Laptop via LAN then when status connected open your favorite browser then type this IP address 192.168.1.1 and a box pop out will request log in type this.
User Name: adminpldt
Password: 1234567890


2.Goto Setup->WLAN->Security


3. Set the settings to:

    SSID Type: Root
   Encryption: WPA2 Mixed
   WPA Authentication Mode: Personal (Pre-Shared Key)
   Pre-Shared Key Format: Passphrase
   Pre-Shared Key: "Your Password"

 4. The Pre-Shared Key should be your WiFi password.


5. After you set the settings, then Click the "Apply Changes" Button, then you will wait for 20 seconds. Click the Save button if you want your configuration to be effective forever.



 6. You Successfully Changed your Password.

  7. To make sure everything will be alright, go to Advance then make sure that you have the same settings as to my settings.

hello sir, would you be kind enough to teach me how to add or connect a huawei router to the pldt dsl router? so that my wifi signal would increase because it cant reach my room..thank you in advance..

if the medium you used to connect must be connected to the wifi or router and check the ip address, the range should be the same so if the IP of router is 192.168.1.1 the ip of your connected device should be 192.168.1.othernumber

Thanks for the tutorial brother 😄 almost all of the wifi in our village has the same ssid and default password thats why their network connection is intermittent

Sir, i forgot my wifi password it is wpa/wpa2-psk pre-shared keys also, my brother can't show it because the hide option in the password is greyed out. What should I do?

Hi, did pldt change the default administrator password for pldt dsl ? I cant get admin access even when i typed username adminpldt and password 1234567890 or 0123456789

Try to reset your router.
